RAD PDF 2.30 Released

Red Software is proud to announce version 2.30 of RAD PDF, the ASP.NET PDF form fill, PDF editor, PDF reader, and PDF annotator. This new version includes new annotations tools, allowing for users to more easily markup text in PDF documents.

Easily annotate text, click to try the online demo.

RAD PDF now supports the addition of:

  • Caret annotations (indicator for inserting text)
  • Strikeout annotations (sometimes called strikethrough)
  • Underline annotations

These new annotation types (as well as the existing highlight annotation tool) now also detect text in the PDF document, smartly applying the annotations to the words in the document (text selection must not be disabled by the document settings). Additionally, all markup annotations (not just sticky notes) can have popups with additional text associated.

The text insertion tool has also been improved, making use of the tool on the same line more intuitive.

This release also includes 64-bit operation improvements and several bug fixes.

This version is available free of charge to all Red Software customers with an active RAD PDF Maintenance Plan.
