RAD PDF 3.17 Released

Red Software is excited to announce version version 3.17 of RAD PDF, the ASP.NET / ASP.NET Core Web Control for reading, printing, editing, filling, signing, and now certifying PDF files!

This release includes a new "Redo" option for users of the GUI allowing users to both undo and redo their actions. Redo can be invoked via the Client API, Edit menu, or CTRL-Y shortcut.

The PdfSignatureShape popup now also resizes itself better for mobile use. Previously, screens narrower than 520px did not show the popup correctly.

Additionally, this new version includes new certification options for ASP.NET Core and other minor improvements.

This update is available free of charge to customers with an active Maintenance Plan.

RAD PDF 2.32 Released

Red Software is proud to announce version 2.32 of RAD PDF, the ASP.NET PDF viewer, editor, form filler, and annotator. This release adds support for extracting and rendering text as needed, reducing server side loads for large and long documents. This new feature is enabled by default and can be controlled using the RenderTextOnDemand property. When used with the other Render*OnDemand properties, RAD PDF now more efficiently loads large files (without pre-rendering unused resources).

PDF files encrypted using AES-256 can now be loaded by RAD PDF (with the proper password of course).

A new, modern UI example is also included with this release. Using jQuery and Kendo UI, this new basic sample illustrates the basics for a custom GUI using RAD PDF.

Version 2.32 also includes a number minor bug fixes and other enhancements.

This version is available free of charge to all Red Software customers with an active RAD PDF Maintenance Plan.
