RAD PDF 3.25 Released

Today, Red Software updates RAD PDF, a leading ASP.NET / ASP.NET Core / ASP.NET 5 web component for editing, form filling, and signing PDF files in an online GUI.

This release now automatically pre-loads pages before and after the current page, allowing for smoother navigation from page to page in the RAD PDF interface. This behavior can be toggled using the new DisablePreloading property.

This update also includes some minor bug fixes including an issue when using small form fields and graphics in Safari 15 on macOS.

This new version is available free of charge to customers with an active Maintenance Plan.

RAD PDF 3.19 Released

Today, Red Software announces version 3.19 of of the ASP.NET / ASP.NET Core / ASP.NET 5 Web Control for reading, printing, editing, filling, and signing PDF files, RAD PDF! This release focuses on new mobile features and rendering improvements. Pinch-to-zoom can now be used in the PdfWebControl / PdfWebControlLite to zoom pages in and out using two fingers on a touch screen. (The new DisableTouchGestures property allows these touch gestures to be turned off.)

This update also fixes a bug with markup annotations using non-ASCII text and improves the rendering speed (and overhead) of PDF pages containing JPEG 2000 images.

This update is available free of charge to customers with an active Maintenance Plan.

RAD PDF 3.15 Released

Red Software is excited to announce version 3.15 of RAD PDF, the ASP.NET (and ASP.NET Core) component for PDF viewing, editing, form filling, signing and more! With this update, client side rendering now better matches server rendering when using unsupported features, and server side rendering has also been improved, particularly when rendering "striped" images.

Additionally, data URLs can now be used to set images or append files, allowing for easier integration with custom image source integrations.

Lite Documents can now also be appended to another Lite Document instance, allowing for more flexible document merging.

This update is available free of charge to customers with an active Maintenance Plan.

RAD PDF 3.14 Released

Red Software is proud to announce version 3.14 of the most full featured ASP.NET / ASP.NET Core web control for viewing, form filling, and editing PDF files, RAD PDF. This update includes a number of improvements including:

  • ASP.NET Core improvements - use RAD PDF without Synchronous IO
  • GetPaths() method added to PdfSignatureShape - retrieve drawn signatures as paths
  • Render At Client improvements - JS errors in rendering falls back to server and Range support
  • Undo support - users can now undo PDF changes in the GUI

Additionally, this new version includes file upload improvements (file type filters) and several bug fixes.

RAD PDF 3.13 Released

Red Software is proud to announce version 3.13 of RAD PDF, the ASP.NET (and ASP.NET Core) PDF reader, editor, form filler, and more. Implementations of our PDF web control can now export and import objects added by the user, allowing integrations more flexibility when using RAD PDF. Additionally, this update includes rendering improvements both to the client and server side code base along with improving the display of embedded JPEG 2000 images.

This version also includes a new advanced option to display a "Next Field" button which can be enabled (or enabled just for iOS) allowing for smoother tabbing between fields. If interested, please contact Red Software for more information about this feature.
