RAD PDF 3.37 Released

Today, Red Software publishes RAD PDF 3.37, the web-based GUI / WebControl for PDF editing, PDF form filling, PDF reading, PDF signing and more! More compatible than ever, the ASP.NET Core / ASP.NET 5 + package for RAD PDF now uses Microsoft.Data.SqlClient internally (replacing the now legacy System.Data.SqlClient implementation), allowing RAD PDF to use the latest SQL Server features.

This new version also includes a number of minor bug fixes as well as the important security updates included with the 3.36.1 release.

This update is available free of charge to all customers with an active Maintenance Plan.

RAD PDF 3.36 Released

Red Software is proud to announce RAD PDF 3.36, the newest version of its ASP.NET WebControl for PDF viewing, form filling, editing, signing, protecting, and more. Integrating PDF files and forms into any ASP.NET website has never been easier. Now, with page label support, page numbering in RAD PDF will appear with the same styling users see in desktop PDF viewers. This allows for alphabetical "numbering", roman numerals, custom text, and more.

Additionally, this new version improves to how radio form fields are rendered. Circle checkbox types sometimes clipped their background and highlights appeared outside of the field's border. This update improves radio fields both visually and functionally.

This release also includes a number of small mobile improvements. The object delete and properties buttons were often hard to access on mobile and have been moved to allow access on all screens. A future version will continue to improve mobile options with an updated properties dialog allowing for more fined grain control via a scrollable interface better designed for small screens.

This update is available free of charge to all customers with an active Maintenance Plan.

RAD PDF 3.34 Released

Red Software is excited to release RAD PDF 3.34, the PDF GUI & WebControl for ASP.NET Core / Framework 3.5+/ .NET 5 / .NET 6. This update features improvements to the PdfButtonField APIs, meaningless collection / portfolio loading, scrolling, and more.

This version now enables some responsive features by default. This will now hide the side panel automatically when with width of the control is too narrow (<800px). Because of this, the CollapsibleViewerSide property is now true by default. It also adds a new DisableResponsive property to optionally disable this behavior.

Additionally, it includes a number of rendering fixes for form field borders and signature shapes as well as fixes for other minor issues.

This update is available free of charge to customers with an active Maintenance Plan.
