RAD PDF 3.30 Released

Today, Red Software updates RAD PDF, a leading ASP.NET 3.5 / 4.x / Core / 5 / 6 web component for editing, form filling, reading, and signing PDF files in an online GUI.

Version 3.30 includes a new AddPath() server-side API for PdfSignatureShapes and copySignatureTo() Client API method.

Additionally, this release includes important bug fixes and security improvements.

This update is available free of charge to customers with an active Maintenance Plan.

RAD PDF 3.29 Released

Red Software is excited to release RAD PDF 3.29, the PDF GUI / WebControl for ASP.NET Core / Framework / .NET 5 / .NET 6. This update to the PDF editor / PDF form filler / PDF signer / PDF viewer introduces a base implemention for offline use, which allows a ASP.NET web applications to cache PDF edits in RAD PDF offline until an internet connection is resumed.

Additionally, this version fixes a bugs related to certificate signed files, date formatting, and text selection.

RAD PDF 3.27 Released

Today, Red Software releases RAD PDF 3.27, the newest version of the PDF reader, PDF annotator, PDF editor, PDF form filler, PDF form designer, PDF signer, and more for ASP.NET (including .NET Core, .NET 5, & .NET 6).

This release includes improved language support for languages which require complex text layout or scripts, like Arabic, Thai, Devanagari, Lao, and others. The new UseUniscribe property allows RAD PDF to use Microsoft's Uniscribe to assist in adding new fields and text which have connected characters or other complex font features required by the language. (This feature is only available when running RAD PDF on Windows.)

The new PdfAnnotation.Flatten and PdfField.Flatten properties allow for individual annotations and form fields to be flattened when saving a PDF. This allows developers to more easily implement custom workflows where certain elements of a PDF should be "burned in" or flattened.

Additionally, this version enhances server efficiency with "empty" documents, improves the client-side PDF rendering engine, allows Lite Document sessions to be updated, and fixes a number of important bugs.

RAD PDF 3.25 Released

Today, Red Software updates RAD PDF, a leading ASP.NET / ASP.NET Core / ASP.NET 5 web component for editing, form filling, and signing PDF files in an online GUI.

This release now automatically pre-loads pages before and after the current page, allowing for smoother navigation from page to page in the RAD PDF interface. This behavior can be toggled using the new DisablePreloading property.

This update also includes some minor bug fixes including an issue when using small form fields and graphics in Safari 15 on macOS.

RAD PDF 3.24 Released

Red Software is happy to announce RAD PDF 3.24, the ASP.NET / ASP.NET 5 / ASP.NET Core Web Control for PDF editing, PDF form filling, PDF signing, PDF viewing, and more! This release includes a new date picker, rendering improvements, and a few minor bug fixes.

With the added date picker, date form fields in RAD PDF will now display month names and abbreviations when using mmm (3 letter abbreviation) / mmmm (full name) in date format strings. These can be set in RAD PDF's resource files, allowing this feature to be localized as well.
